His practice focus is on lateral access surgical techniques and minimally invasive interbody fusion. Prior to joining Hoag, Dr. Kanter served as Chief of Spine Surgery and as Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. A respected researcher, inventor and surgeon, Dr. Kanter is board certified in neurological surgery.
