  Simon Madorsky, MD

  About Dr. Madorsky Dr. Simon Madorsky has over twenty years of experience in Otolaryngology (Head and Neck Surgery) and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Many of Orange County’s dermatologists and plastic surgeons refer their complex cases to Dr. Madorsky, and he is one of the leading facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons in Southern California. He is also the medical director and founder of the SCARS Center, a skin cancer treatment facility, and The Appearance Center of Newport Beach, which was designed to provide patients the highest quality of cosmetic care. The Appearance Center offers the convenience of multiple treatment options and multiple board certified specialists in one centralized location. Dr. Madorsky’s passion lies in rebuilding sensitive areas damaged by severe skin cancers on the head and neck including the nose, eyelids, and lips.   Suzanne Quardt, MD

  Plastic Surgeon

  About Dr. Quardt Dr. Suzanne Marie Quardt, referred to affectionately as “Dr. Q” by her many patients, is Board-Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Dr. Quardt was born in New York City as a foster child, then adopted by her loving parents and raised in nearby New Jersey where she received the Garden State Distinguished Scholar Scholarship for Rutgers University. She received a Bachelors degree in Biology and then continued her education at the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey-NJ Medical School campus in Newark. She graduated with honors, earning her Medical Degree (MD) as well as the Faculty Organization Award for Most Outstanding Research Project. Dr Q performed a Sub-Internship at Columbia University and received a letter of recommendation from Dr. Mehmet Oz. She was accepted at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, one of the most competitive as well as challenging surgical training programs in the country. She did her General Surgery Residency, Plastic Surgery Residency as well as Research years at the LA County / USC Medical Center and published numerous scientific and clinical articles in peer-reviewed journals. She served as Chief Resident in Plastic Surgery at USC, and remains influenced and inspired by her many outstanding professors and mentors there who encouraged her plastic surgery career. Dr. Q went on to complete a Specialty post-graduate Fellowship training program in Complex Plastic Reconstructive and Burn Reconstructive Surgery at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center in Downey, CA. She has cared for numerous spinal cord injury patients and knows how to manage very difficult pressure sores, and complex wound care. Dr Q served as the Assistant Medical Director of Eisenhower’s Wound Care Center upon the center’s opening in 2008, specializing in complex wound management and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Dr. Quardt further honed her experience and skills with an American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS)-accredited USC / Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship. She received extensive training in the latest advancements in all aspects of cosmetic surgery, with a particular emphasis on breast surgery and liposuction/liposculpture techniques. While she was there, her ongoing research efforts led to many publications and presentations regarding the safety and efficacy of the complex procedure of combining a mastopexy (breast lift) surgery along with breast augmentation, one of her most-requested and specialty procedures that has helped to establish Dr. Q a breast surgery specialist! Chief of Plastic Surgery and “Top Doc” Dr. Quardtmoved to the greater Palm Springs area in 2006 and immediately fell in love with the beautiful Desert Community and all it has to offer. She served as the Chief of Plastic Surgery at the prestigious Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage from 2009 to 2011, and has served on several Hospital Committees there. Dr. Quardt has been named one of the Coachella Valley’s “Top Docs” by Castle Connelly, Ltd in Palm Springs Life magazine every year since 2011- an honor that one “cannot buy,” but is awarded to those who have been nominated and voted for by their very own Peers (think “SAG” awards- but for doctors)!   About Dr. Kim Jane S. Kim, MD, is an expert in Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery.   About Dr. Aronson Dr. Adam Aronson is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon.   Alyssa Flanders, PA-C

  Biography Alyssa Flanders, PA-C is a nationally board certified physician assistant (PA-C) specializing in dermatology and aesthetic medicine. She has worked at SCARS Center and the Appearance Center since graduating from Chapman University’s PA program in 2020. During her first year at SCARS Center and Appearance Center, she completed a one-year fellowship and was personally trained by the facial plastic surgeon, oculoplastic surgeon, and cosmetic dermatologists. She has created her own unique practice by blending the expertise and mentorship of each specialty. Additionally, Alyssa has completed the Society of Dermatology Physician Associates (SDPA) diplomate fellowship. Alyssa is passionate about aesthetic medicine, primarily because it helps patients boost their self confidence. She emphasizes foundational skin care and skin resurfacing that improve the overall skin quality and protect against both aging and skin cancers. Additionally, she likes to incorporate non-invasive modalities such as injectables, microneedling, chemical peels, and lasers. Alyssa loves to develop a long term relationship with her patients and help them feel comfortable while looking and feeling their best.   Biography Brooke McGuckin is a Registered Nurse with a lifelong passion for skin health, aesthetics, and surgical care. Originally from the charming town of Grass Valley near Lake Tahoe, Brooke moved to Southern California in 2018 to pursue her career in the medical field. Since then, she has spent over six years immersed in dermatology, where her love for skincare and patient care truly flourished. With a unique blend of clinical experience and artistic eye, Brooke specializes in both aesthetic treatments and surgical nursing. She currently splits her time between The Appearance Center, where she provides personalized, results-driven aesthetic care, and The SCARS Center, where she serves as a dedicated operating room nurse. What sets Brooke apart is her passion for being a part of her patients’ full skin journey. From the very first consultation to surgery and follow-up appointments, Brooke is there every step of the way. She finds immense fulfillment in managing post-operative care and helping patients maintain healthy, radiant skin well beyond the procedure. Brooke believes that skin is one of our greatest investments—and it deserves to be nurtured. Her goal is to make every patient feel confident, empowered, and happy in the skin they’re in.
